The Honest Answer

Why Meridian Roofing Co.

The Problem With the Current Market

The roofing industry in North Texas has a structural problem. Because storm damage creates sudden, urgent demand, the market attracts contractors whose business model depends on moving quickly, not operating well. These companies are not built for longevity. They are built for volume.

After a significant storm event, Fort Worth homeowners face a difficult situation. They have real damage, a legitimate insurance claim, and a yard full of door-knockers competing for their signature. The pressure is real. The complexity of the insurance process is real. And the consequences of choosing the wrong contractor are real — but they do not show up for months.

This is not a small number of bad actors. It is a pattern in the market. And the only way to protect yourself is to ask the right questions before you sign anything.

Five Questions to Ask Any Roofer

Can I see your Texas contractor license number?

A licensed contractor will answer this immediately and without hesitation. If they deflect, change the subject, or say it is not required — it is required, and this is a red flag.

Are you a Texas-registered business entity?

Ask for their Texas LLC or corporation filing number. You can verify this in minutes at the Texas Secretary of State website. Out-of-state operators who registered a temporary Texas entity in the past 90 days tell you something important.

Will you give me a written inspection report before I sign anything?

Any professional contractor will do this. If they want a signed authorization before they produce a single document, that is a pressure tactic.

Will you attend my adjuster meeting?

This is one of the most valuable services a roofing contractor can provide and it costs nothing. If they are not willing to do it, you are handling the most important part of your claim alone.

What is your process if I have a problem six months after the job?

Get the answer in writing. Note whether they hesitate. A contractor who does not intend to be available for warranty work will show you in how they answer this question.

From the Founder

A Direct Statement

I am not going to tell you Meridian Roofing is the largest roofing company in Fort Worth. We are not. I am not going to tell you we have completed thousands of jobs. We are new.

What I can tell you is this: I built this company because I believe the roofing industry in this city deserves better operators. I have thirty years of business experience. I know what accountability looks like. I know what it costs to do things right. And I know that a company's reputation is built one job at a time, not with marketing.

If you hire Meridian, you will get my direct number. You will get a written report. You will get honest communication about what your roof needs and what it does not need. That is the whole model.
